Zack had a plan in mind to surprise me for my birthday. This is worth a mention cause its a year since I am living with him and he has not planned a single surprise for any soul we both mutually know 😛
A couple of days before my birthday, while talking casually, he said, “Next week, you are gonna get a surprise from me”
Hitting myself for believing that this guy would remember my birthdate, I masked my disappointment – “Why, anything special?”
He: “Haha, caught you…you thought I wont know it would be your birthday huh..I have all planned it out…”
Me(thinking whats wrong with him): “Honey, it is not my birthday next week….its actually after 2 days..”
He: “No ways..let me check the calendar…”
(Silence for 5 seconds)
He:”Oh dear..i got the date right..but the month wrong..”
To make things clear..here is the gist. My birthday falls on July 27. My darling Zack thought it is August 27 and had pre-ordered a bunch of flowers and a birthday card to be delivered to me on August 27.
The poor guy had tried to keep this as a surprise, but was thanking me all the time for making him realise this faux-paus.
And I was still trying to come up to terms with my spoilt birthday surprise when I ask him – “How could you make such a silly mistake..surely you should have checked before ordering something online..”
He was still dumbstruck when he said this – “You make me forget everything Visha”
(It registered to me after a minute that this is the first ever mushy dialogue presented to me by him – and it stands the one and only – till date 😛 )
