Put him in jail

Who, tell me who in the world wakes up a deeply asleep soul (me!) at 4:30 AM in this freezing winter and asks to pick oneself up from the bus stop, knowing I drive only two-wheeler and ending the conversation with “Were you sleeping”?

.

..

….

You guessed it right.

When the husband is away

So the husband is off to Chennai attending his best friend’s wedding ( yes, Zack is getting divorced from his first wife. Time to cut the cake. Yahooooo)

“Why did you not accompany”, asks my colleague at work.
“Didn’t want to. His whole college gang is attending. Let the boys enjoy.”
“But you did not go with him during his last outstation visit too. How can you stay alone without him?”

Huh?

In retrospect, I am enjoying my days without him. Yes.

I can watch whatever I want on the TV.

I can use the whole of the bed and not the itsy-teeny part I get due to his 45 degrees sleep pattern.

I can cook all my favourite dishes which he absolutely hates (partner-in-eating = MIL).

I get drop to my office gate doorstep from the FIL, quite unlike Zack who dumps me on the main road when the traffic is hellish.

I can read my books uninterrupted by his annoying questions: how is the story, what is the story, how can you read this now, aren’t you tired, time to sleep, etc..etc..

Life’s good 😉

On the hot seat

The very bubbly and lovely N from tandooripanipurilife has put me on the hot seat. I have no idea about the prize money I get on answering these questions, but since the questions looked interesting and I got super happy when N tagged me, I did not want to let this chance go 😀

1. What did you do in 2012 that you’d never done before?
Started blogging.
During an overnight bus journey, stopped the bus at half past 2 since my bladders were howling. I was brave enough to overlook the lizard eyeing me in the restroom.

2. Did you keep your new years resolutions, and will you make more for next?

3. What date from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I have too many dates etched 😛

5. What was your biggest failure?
Unable to say No 😦
